ABOUT THE WEEKLY QUIZ

What is the Bing Weekly Quiz?

The Bing Weekly Quiz on BingQuiz.org is a weekly trivia challenge that publishes a fresh set of 12 questions every Sunday at midnight. Each question set covers 7 categories: History, Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence, World Affairs, Arts and Culture, Nature and Environment, and Sports and Records.

The Weekly Quiz is built around deeper knowledge and harder questions than a standard daily format. Each question set is designed to test a broader range of subjects in a single sitting, making it a more comprehensive trivia experience than a quick daily check-in.

The 12 questions are distributed across all 7 categories, ensuring no single subject dominates any weekly set. Every Sunday brings a completely new question set, so each visit to the Bing Weekly Quiz on BingQuiz.org presents a fresh challenge across all 7 categories.

HOW THE WEEKLY QUIZ WORKS

How the Weekly Quiz works

One 150-second timer, twelve questions across seven categories, one fresh set every Sunday at midnight.

  1. 01

    Start the Quiz

The Bing Weekly Quiz loads with a start box on the page. Click the Start Quiz button to begin. Once clicked, the 150-second timer starts and the first question appears.

  2. 02

    Answer 12 Questions

Each question has 4 multiple choice options with one correct answer. Questions are presented one at a time. After selecting an answer, the next question appears automatically. If you want to review or change a previous answer, you can navigate back to any earlier question before submitting.

  3. 03

    Submit Before Time Runs Out

Once all 12 questions have been answered, hit submit to see your results. If the 150 second timer runs out before you submit, the quiz completes automatically with your current answers recorded. Any questions left unanswered at that point are marked incorrect.

  4. 04

    Review Your Results

After submission, all 12 correct answers appear on the same page, each accompanied by a short explanation covering why that answer is right and relevant context around the topic. Your final score determines your rank on the Bing Weekly Quiz, following the same six tier system used across all BingQuiz formats from Wanderer through to Mastermind.

WHAT IT COVERS

What the Bing Weekly Quiz covers

The Bing Weekly Quiz tests knowledge across 7 categories with 12 questions every Sunday. Knowing what each category covers gives you a better idea of what to expect before you start.

1

History

Questions cover major world events, significant dates, famous figures, and turning points in modern and ancient history. Think along the lines of world wars, empires, revolutions, and the leaders behind them. A general awareness of global history from the school level upward covers most of what this category tests.

2

Science and Technology

This category covers scientific discoveries, inventions, space exploration, medical breakthroughs, and how technology has evolved. Questions are based on widely known scientific facts and developments rather than specialist knowledge. Staying up to date with science news helps here.

3

Artificial Intelligence

Questions cover AI tools, concepts, real-world applications, and recent developments in the field. This category does not require a technical background. If you follow tech news and have a general awareness of how AI is being used today, you are well prepared for this category.

4

World Affairs

This category draws from significant international events, global stories, and developments that have made headlines in recent months. Reading a broad range of news sources regularly is the best preparation for this category.

5

Arts and Culture

Questions cover literature, music, film, art movements, and cultural milestones across different eras. This category goes beyond current pop culture into classic films, landmark albums, and celebrated works of literature. A broad interest in the creative world across different decades helps here.

6

Nature and Environment

This category covers wildlife, ecosystems, geography, natural phenomena, and environmental topics. Questions range from animal behavior and habitats to climate patterns and natural landmarks. General curiosity about the natural world is enough to navigate most questions in this category.

7

Sports and Records

Questions cover iconic sporting moments, record holders, championship history, and legendary athletes across multiple sports. This category spans football, cricket, tennis, athletics, and more. A broad interest in sports history rather than one specific sport helps here.

At the end of every Bing Weekly Quiz, every question reveals its correct answer along with a detailed explanation. So even if you scored low on this week's quiz, you are still walking away with something valuable. Twelve new facts, twelve new stories, twelve things you know today that you did not know when you clicked Start Quiz. On the Bing Weekly Quiz, a low score is not a loss; it is twelve reasons to come back smarter next Sunday.

TIPS

Tips for the Bing Weekly Quiz

1

Answer what you know first

The Bing Weekly Quiz allows you to navigate back to previous questions before submitting. Use this to your advantage. Move through all 12 questions quickly, answering the ones you are confident about first. Then go back and spend the remaining time on the questions you skipped. This stops you from running out of time on a question you could have answered easily later in the set.

2

Know your strongest categories

The Weekly Quiz covers 7 categories. Before you start, think about where your knowledge is strongest. If History and Sports are your strongest subjects, tackle those questions with confidence and spend more time on categories like Artificial Intelligence or World Affairs, where you may need a moment longer to recall the right answer.

3

Do not leave any question unanswered

An unanswered question is always marked incorrect. If the timer is running low and you have unanswered questions remaining, select your best guess rather than leaving it blank. A guess gives you a chance. A blank gives you nothing.

4

Read the explanations after every quiz

Every explanation on the BingQuiz Weekly Quiz is written to give you context beyond just the correct answer. Players who read the full explanation after each quiz build knowledge week by week. The categories on the Weekly Quiz repeat every Sunday. What you learn from this week's explanation is likely to help you with a future question in the same category.

5

Follow the news and tech space during the week

The World Affairs and Artificial Intelligence categories draw from current and recent developments. Spending a few minutes reading headlines during the week, particularly around global events and AI news, directly improves your performance on Sunday. The Bing Weekly Quiz rewards players who stay informed throughout the week, not just those who sit down and guess on Sunday.
